The lower Spencer Creek Trail will see periods of construction activity at the hydro corridor, meaning some trail closures are likely during this time.Despite posted signs warning the trail was closed (above), the trail was in fact open this weekend with no barriers.
Hikers in the area will be rewarded with a chance to watch the fall salmon run upstream. We saw a few today, in the creek just downstream of the Thorpe Street bridge (below).
Seems like everyone is struggling to get somewhere along the creek these days!
